Pack your “go bags” and get ready for a fantastic day of radio operating in the great outdoors! The annual Wisconsin Parks on the Air (WIPOTA) contest is just around the corner, and LEFROG is setting up an activation you won’t want to miss.
WIPOTA is all about promoting public awareness of amateur radio while enjoying Wisconsin’s beautiful state park system. Whether you are a seasoned contester, a newly licensed ham looking to make your first park contact, or just curious about the hobby, we would love for you to join us!

🚶 How to Find the LEFROG Camp
We’ll be set up at the scenic Quarry Lake Shelter, but it’s a short, beautiful stroll to get there! Here is how to find us:

Park your vehicle: Head toward the Ansay Welcome Center and park in the adjacent lot.

Take a walk: From the parking lot, look for the service road. It is a scenic, easy 0.25-mile walk down the service road.

Look for the antennas: You’ll find the LEFROG crew operating live from the Quarry Lake shelter.
Come hang out, log a few contacts, learn about portable operations, and enjoy the beautiful September weather at the lake. We can’t wait to hear you on the air—or see you at the park!
